What began as a family dream, became
a family tradition of business excellence.

Our Story Began in 1962

Just a little over 50 years ago, Dick and Joan Atnip packed up their modest belongings and moved from the San Francisco Bay area to sunny Southern California. They had only their belief in themselves and their faith that hard work will provide them with opportunities. Fortunately, they also believed in the success of a national coffee company named Hills Brothers and a brand new industry called Vending/Office Coffee Service.

Many years and three sons later, Dick and Joan’s family dream has become a family tradition of business excellence. Their vision has grown into the premier vending brokerage in the western region of the United States. Atnip Co., Inc. is the product of their tenacious work ethic, unmatched professionalism and integrity, as well as the everyday practice of their core founding philosophy, which begins and ends with “the customer comes first.”

where there is no path and leave a trail.

Specialty Trade

This specialty channel is driven by the impulse purchase. We’re driven by the need to meet that consumer demand.

Since the lobby concession space is limited, we focus our energy instead on the large opportunities rather than the narrow constraints.

This avenue of trade requires specialization. We excel at launching new brands, expanding distribution, and leveraging marketing programs for maximum return.
